MM Weddings (Update) : Must-Read Pre-Wedding Articles + A New MM Teaser!

July 08, 2014  •  Leave a Comment

I shared a while back how I'd almost lost my love for doing wedding media because of a lot of disorganization and rude guests.

Not long afterward I found the most AMAZING articles that I believe EVERY person who has or ATTENDS a wedding should read ... So PLEASE check out:   Why You Might Want to Consider An Unplugged Wedding and Forever Hold Your Tweets ... ... These are two awesome articles to prepare for your wedding and all the paparazzi guests that come with it.

As a professional photographer/videographer, I always know that I will have to compete for space and opportunity at getting great shots with the hired photog (if I'm doing video) or the videographer (if I'm doing photos) ... and sometimes eager family members and friends make my job that much harder.

When you're trying to catch a couple in the moment, it's almost impossible to re-do or re-capture. I like authentic emotions and a journalistic style of shooting.  So, having to battle iPads in the aisle and continuous flashes from smartphones and pocket cameras is not only frustrating but it compromises the service I'm trying to give to my client.

So PLEASE read and share those two links if you're planning your wedding, about to get married soon, or you'll be attending a wedding in the near future.  Be mindful of those who are hired to capture those irreplaceable moments of this day and respect them and the couple by staying out the way.  That's all I ask -- for photographer everywhere! :)

Now, to the extra good stuff ...

I shot my only wedding in the month of June (only because I didn't book any more, thinking I'd be moved by now) and it was such a beautiful ceremony.

The couple (Nathaniel and Erika) was so loving towards each other and despite the battles to get great video, there was a lot of love in the room ... and as I mentioned in my previous blog, that's really the joy of shooting weddings.

With so much bad going on in the world, it's one of the few places to see genuine expressions of nothing but LOVE.

As a new service with MM Wedding Media, I'm  now providing couples with Wedding Teaser to not only share with those who didn't make it, but to give them a preview of their full DVD.  It's like a short film of their wedding :)  Check out the one I did for Mr. and Mrs. Nathaniel Egbon of Heflin, LA:

MM will be booking weddings locally until August 1st.  Please give me at least once week advance notice.  Contact me to book or to get quote!

Lastly, thanks to ALL of you who have supported MM over the past FIVE years ... and to all those about to jump the broom -- CONGRATS!
